Serotonin Toronto was founded by Sarah, a Toronto-born social worker with a rich cultural heritage; her mother is of Filipino descent, and her father of Ghanaian descent. Growing up in a family that values traditional healing practices, Sarah developed a deep appreciation for the historical roots and cultural significance of herbalism, aromatherapy, and holistic wellness.

From long commutes on the TTC to demanding workdays, Sarah has personally navigated burnout, anxiety, and even periods of depression. At one point, Sarah reached a significant stage of burnout that forced her to seek support from a naturopath. After running some tests, she learned that her serotonin levels were low.

This became a turning point in her wellness journey. In conjunction with other holistic practices, she discovered a sense of balance and peace through aromatherapy, herbalism, and mindful living- experiences that inspired her to make these practices accessible to others.

Today, Sarah handcrafts every product from her home studio, ensuring each one is made with love, care, and intention. Using 90-100% natural ingredients and eco-friendly packaging that is compostable, recyclable, reusable and even plantable, Serotonin Toronto creates self-care products- not to replace professional care- but to further support your wellness rituals.
